About Not Bagel
The home for otaku writing. A piece can be short. A piece can be long. It does not have to be useful. We only ask that it be true.
Anyone can write here.
If you have something honest to say about anime, manga, manhwa, manhua, novels, or games — a series you love, a take nobody agrees with, a hidden gem — there is a place for it. Register, write, publish.
Fans, not press releases.
No review embargoes, no scores handed down from on high. Just people who actually watch and read the stuff, writing like they mean it.
Ready when it’s ready.
We publish when a piece is ready, never to fill a slot. There is no content treadmill here.
The reader is doing us a favor.
We do not chase clicks or autoplay anything at you. Good writing, found by people who want it. That is the whole idea.
